Cast-On Party: National Knit (and Crochet!) a Sweater Month
November is National Knit a Sweater Month, and we’re celebrating with a cozy, community Cast-On Party! Whether you’re knitting or crocheting, this is your chance to start a handmade sweater alongside fellow makers, cheer each other on, and share your progress all month long.
Here’s how it works:
• Bring (or buy) your favorite sweater pattern and yarn, or choose one in-store
• Cast on (or chain up!) together during the free event
• Stop by any time throughout November for encouragement and guidance
• Then, wear your finished creation to Small Business Saturday (Nov. 29) to receive a free café drink + pastry from our espresso bar as a yummy victory prize!
Need help choosing a project?
We’re happy to play matchmaker and help you find the perfect pattern and yarn combination for your style, skill level, and fiber preferences. Whether you love plant-based fibers, cozy wools, or just want a quick and gratifying make, we’ll find your perfect match!
Want to knit along with Shannon?
She’ll be casting on the Loopy Mango Top Down Sweater, a beginner-friendly, top-down raglan worked in super chunky yarn that knits up quickly and beautifully. It’s an ideal first-sweater project for new knitters: no seaming, no complicated shaping, just soft, satisfying stitches and instant gratification. The pattern is free when you purchase Loopy Mango yarn, and Shannon will be here to guide you every step of the way.
Crocheters, you’re absolutely invited too. Bring any sweater pattern you love and join the fun!
Come spend the morning surrounded by yarn, laughter, and good fibes. Let’s make this November a month to remember, one stitch at a time.
