Back by popular demand after our sold-out Halloween edition, this merry sequel is here to make your holidays a little softer, sparklier, and sillier.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll design and tuft your very own holiday rug, whether that’s a Grinchy grin, a glowing leg lamp, a cozy Hello Kitty, or something that celebrates your favorite winter tradition. From Christmas to Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule, or even Krampus, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind piece that spreads handmade cheer. Taught by resident Rug Man, Noah Vessenmeyer (aka @LordoftheRugz!)
What You’ll Learn
*How to safely and effectively use a tufting machine (yes, it’s a power tool!)
*Tips for outlining, filling, and creating texture in your design
*Finishing techniques to make your rug gift- or display-ready
Arrive Early for Coffee & Prep
You’re welcome to come as early as 11 AM to sip a latte from our café and watch the setup process. Your instructor will be tracing your chosen design onto the canvas so it’s ready when class begins. Or, if you’d rather jump straight into the tufting action, arrive right at noon and get to work!
Design Options
Once registered, you’ll receive a catalog of curated holiday-inspired designs: think Labubus, Hello Kitty in a Santa hat, classic movie icons like The Grinch or A Christmas Story’s leg lamp, plus inclusive and cozy motifs for all winter holidays. Feeling creative? You can collaborate with the instructor to adapt your own design idea, too.
Your Ticket Includes
*Prepared canvas with your selected design
*Use of tufting machine, tools, and frame
*Three yarn colors (extra colors available for $15 each)
*All finishing materials (adhesive & backing)
*After 24 hours of drying, your rug will be ready to pick up and display, perfect for gifting or adding a festive touch to your space.
