Ready to learn the basics of knitting? Join us for a relaxed, hands-on three-week series designed to help beginners build a strong foundation and start their knitting journey with confidence.
Over the course of three Sundays, you’ll learn the essential skills and techniques you need to get comfortable with your needles and yarn, including:
Choosing the right yarn and tools for your project
Casting on
The knit stitch
The purl stitch
Understanding the basics of working with a pattern
If time allows, we’ll also explore how to finish your projects and how to find beginner-friendly patterns on Ravelry.com.
Whether you’ve never picked up a pair of knitting needles before or you’ve tried knitting and want a little more guidance, this series is a great place to begin. Come ready to learn, practice, and enjoy the process!
What to Bring
Bring your own yarn and corresponding needles, or arrive at least 30 minutes early and we’ll be happy to help you choose and purchase your supplies in-store.
Coming early also gives you a chance to settle in with a cup of coffee, tea, or a pastry from our café before class.
