Valentine's Macramé Gnome Workshop
Saturday, February 7 • 12PM–2:00 PM
$45 per person • All materials included (make TWO gnomes!)
Fall a little bit in love with crafting at our Valentine’s Macramé Gnome Workshop! This cozy, beginner-friendly class is the perfect way to celebrate the season of love, whether you’re coming solo, with a friend, or on a creative date.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn the basics of macramé while creating two adorable gnomes dressed in Valentine-inspired colors and details. Think soft cotton cord, fluffy beards, sweet accents, and just the right amount of whimsy. By the end of class, you’ll have charming handmade décor to display, gift to someone special, or keep for yourself (we support that choice).
You’ll learn:
Simple macramé knots perfect for beginners
How to build and finish the beard, mustache, and hat
Brushing techniques for extra-fluffy texture
Fun ways to personalize your gnomes with color, beads, and Valentine flair
Tips for displaying or gifting your finished pieces
All materials are provided, including supplies to make two gnomes per person, so you can simply show up, relax, and enjoy a creative afternoon surrounded by good vibes and fiber friends.
About Your Instructor
Carolyn Kospender studied at the Tyler School of Art, where she earned her BFA in Fibers with a focus on Art Education. A joyful skill-sharing geek at heart, Carolyn has spent over 20 years teaching in schools, museums, and DIY studios across Tampa Bay. She’s also the artist behind Thread and Paw, where she’s been hand-stitching custom pet portraits and toys since 2013. She currently lives with her two rescue pups, Minerva and Roxanne — who may or may not love her as much as they love their heating pads.
